The all new Sony PSP GO! will be unveiled at the E3 2009 conference

In the fall of 2009, Sony is going to release a new version of its popular Sony Playstation Portable. Pictures of the up and coming Sony PSP GO! has surfaced all over the Internet last week. Sony made major upgrades with its its Sony PSP GO! Qore, the VOD service of Sony, actually showed a video of the device where John Koller, Marketing Director, Sony Hardware, talked about the all new Sony PSP GO!. Someone recorded the video and put it on You Tube. The video shows Sony’s plan for PSP.


From the picture, you can see that the new Sony PSP is going to be a sleeker gadget than its predecessor. However, Sony is not going to replace its Sony PSP 3000. The Sony PSP GO! will be less expensive and would require less energy. Sony is actually going to unveil the device in the upcoming E3 conference that will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 2, 2009 to June 4, 2009.


Features of the new Sony PSP GO!:

  • The new Sony PSP GO! will have 16GB built-in flash memory. It will also have a Memory Stick Micro slot to expand its memory.
  • The new Sony PSP GO! will be about 108 grams; 43% lighter than the Sony PSP-3000.
  • The new Sony PSP GO! will sport a smaller 3.8″ screen compared to the 4.3″ screen of Sony PSP 3000.
  • The new Sony PSP GO! will have Bluetooth.
  • The new Sony PSP GO! will come with new games installed including Metal Gear Solid, Jak & Daxter, Gran Turismo, and LittleBigPlanet.
